Andrew Ingram didn't grow up wanting to train people in business writing. It just grew, rather organically, out of
a) being the person in the office who specialised in writing
b) being asked for advice by other people about how to improve bits of their writing.
He was previously Editorial Director of Newsworks, and Planning Director at the Radio Advertising Bureau, where he also ran RAB Training.
He has published several books including Wireless Wisdom (1994) and Better Radio Advertising (2005). He has a degree in languages from Cambridge, and he qualified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. He still has a weakness for classic cars.
Michael Wadley has been writing for some of Britain’s largest and smallest companies for more than 20 years. His output covers everything from brochures, websites, news pieces and feature articles through to speeches, call centre scripts and video storyboards.
Since 2006 he has been training others to write better.
“We learned a lot in the workshop, it was very valuable – it was also fun and interactive. Recommended”.
Susanna Collins, Director, Text100 PR, London
“Useful half-day session. My group are pretty good writers already but they all found something of value in the Intermediate workshop, especially in the area of planning and structuring”
Mark Barber, Planning Director, RadioCentre
“Very good workshop, with very useful advice on planning content for our team. The emphasis on how to communicate the appropriate message clearly - rather than covering more superficial issues - was especially helpful”
David Pugh, Managing Director, NLA Media Access
